All the recent {I}NSD activities caused me to forget my ZIZO post last week - so it's a double dose for Helena and friends. Back to my garden which is beginning to show signs of life (too much in the case of the grass which needs cutting again).
Last week's pairing was our emergent rhododendron bush - benefiting from increased rain, light and root room following the sad removal of our beautiful silver birch last year (every cloud and all that).
The opposite corner of our garden houses the wheely bins and two potato sacks containing ... can you guess ...
Raspberry canes! It's one way of stopping the raspberry runners taking over the garden!
What's growing in your garden? Anything edible?

beautiful rhodis and I do love to have raspberries in the garden but they do tend to spread a lot

ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous! We have one azalea blooming, but no rhododendrons yet. I'd love to have more raspberries in our yard. We have just a few wild ones.

ReplyDeleteNothing edible, but I did consider buying raspberry plants yesterday. I bought Pinks instead.

ReplyDeleteI just had to go and read about your silver birch, which I'd missed - my favourite variety of tree :(. Perhaps there'll be a return match one day for their large evergreen. Your blossoms are very pretty - nothing ss floral as that up here yet. Unless you count the dandelions!

The only edible I try these days is carrots! But haven't even planted anything yet.
No garden for me (I'm an apartment dweller; and besides, I kill plants instantly!)so I'm especially enjoying seeing yours!

ReplyDeleteThey look lovely! We don't have a garden of any kind right now. Just random long planted perennials and asparagus that is still producing despite being dug up.

ReplyDeleteI love rhododendrons too they remind my of visiting splendid gardens. I didn't know raspberry canes were annoying, they must be related to the dreaded bramble in my garden. Lovely ZIZO's

ReplyDeleteIt's lovely to see the garden springing into life. I grow lots of herbs and my current bushes are looking promising with lots of buds.
