Welcome to the start of the May Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog Members' Blog Hop (or CKCBMBH for short)! Today we are sharing our takes on
the masking challenge. I
made a page for this challenge earlier in the month with my
May Counterfeit Kit and today I am sharing a couple of cards made with the a simple masking technique:
|
Happy Birthday Mum ♥ |
I was inspired by
some cards I spotted over at the blog of my fellow Master Forger, Milissa, and just had to have a go with my circle punches and mini alphabet stamps. The photo doesn't show it brilliantly, but two of the circles are raised up on foam dots and two are inked through the "waste" from the punched circles.

Happy Anniversary Hubby ♥ |
The next stop on the hop is
Dawn, but if get lost the full blog hop list is published on the
Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog where you can also find details of
how to apply to be on the team of Master Forgers - the deadline is May 30th.
lovely card
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea. So Simple, yet very stylish!
ReplyDeleteGreat looking cards & a brill idea. I can see this technique appearing on a LO soon!
ReplyDeleteOh very nice :)
ReplyDeleteLifting ;)
ReplyDeleteI agree. I'm totally lifting these. They are super cute and yet so simple. Love them.
ReplyDeleteSweet :-)
ReplyDeleteThat has the merit of loveliness and simplicity combined! Like your additional stitched heart ...
ReplyDeleteLove these cards... very effective
ReplyDeleteThese cards are AWESOME! Love how you've made each little circle a masterpiece!
ReplyDeleteI really like those! Subtle dimension as well as more textural stuff, lovely!
ReplyDeletelovely cards. Might have to pin this one for future reference . . .
ReplyDeleteLove your cards! So cute. And I love the "inking through the negative" - I always make such a mess when I try that! You did a fantastic job and adding the little stitching details to those, perfect!
ReplyDeleteI really like your cards. The masking technique 'scares' me a little lol x
ReplyDeleteWhat a clever idea. I never thought of punching out misted items.
ReplyDeleteWOW. That's a statement on your cards, not an acronym. (wink!)
ReplyDeleteDropping by with a strange apology. Your blog, how shall I put this? seems to have dropped out of my Reader. I realised today I hadn't seen anything for a few days so I came over: it even says "follow this site" again..and I've always been a follower...argh! Also wanted to ask if you have heard from Mary? She seems very quiet these days?
ReplyDeleteSorry, I also really like your cards!
ReplyDeleteIt does show in the photos, that you've used foam pads & masking - I like the variation of technique and pattern, it makes the cards so interesting to look at, even though they are "just circles".
ReplyDeleteVery smart and cheerful- this design would make good cards for men's birthdays or fathers day. I like them a lot!
I love punching misted bits - glad to have that reminder 'cause I've not done that in years. Have several b'day cards to make too and think I'm gonna lift this design. So elegant and simple!
