Destination Unkown

June Kit-to-copy - Scraptastic Club's Destination Unknown
"Destination Unknown" from Scraptastic Club
Welcome to the June Master Forger Kit Reveal Blog Hop which started with our Guest Designer (a former Master Forger herself) Sherri.
If you're following in order you'll have popped over from Angela (if not, the hop order is on the CKCB today).

You never quite know where the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog will glean inspiration from; whether it will be a kit you love or ... loathe find less attractive *wink*

This month we had a great choice in the May offering from Scraptastic Club, with a choice of kits to get ideas from.

I initially ignored the Destination Unknown Kit as it is rather pink - regular readers will know I struggle to use this colour - but I loved the sunny, cheeriness of this kit-to-copy and decided to give it a go!  I found a sheet with hearts (in a Christmas collection), a diagonal patterned paper reflecting the rainbow of colours in the original, a few Sn@p! cards from a pad my friend brought me from New York and the kit grew from there:

Jimjams - June 2013 Counterfeit Kit

Supplies:
Cosmo Cricket's Get Happy: Snappy (distressed yellow reverse)
Fusion Solar Ray and Lucky Chance by Basic Grey
½ sheet red barbed wire on teal ... any ideas who makes this or what it's called ???
Citrus Circle from Echo Park's Sweet Summer Time (green & white diagonal check reverse)
Bella Boulevard's Christmas Love (multi-coloured circle reverse)
Red, White, Teal and Kraft Cardstock

Jimjams - June Kit detail with counterfeited number cardsBG Blush alpha stickers and laser cut doilies
Lily Bee Design Victoria Park alpha stickers
American Crafts Flair
Simple Stories Sn@p! Happy Sayings Quote Cards (bright coloured patterned reverse)
Counterfeited pennants from my March Counterfeit Kit

I couldn't resist making a few extra tags inspired by a tiny part of one of the other kits (one of the cards in a sheet of Jillibean Soup Chilled Cucumber Bitesized Bits in the After The Storm Add-on).  I simply added white die cut numbers to bright scraps of corner-rounded cardstock and outlined them with white gel pen.

I hope you'll join in the counterfeiting this month, not least because there's a chance of prizes thanks to our lovely sponsor Little Blue Button Stamps.  If you're happy hopping I happen to know your next destination ... Jennifer ... I wonder what she has put together for this month?!

  1. Hw lovely and bright this is. Really super. Makes me want to scrap just looking at it. I included some Simple Stories cards too. Haven't they improved their stuff over the last year or so?!? Great kit. Looks very inviting.

  12. ah, Basic Grey letter stickers, I recognise you! I've used up many crucial letters on several alphabets, but haven't managed to part with any! Love your kit, especially your cute number tags.
