Happy Hoppy

Welcome to the start of the May Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog Members' Blog Hop (or CKCBMBH for short)!  Today we are sharing our takes on the masking challenge.  I made a page for this challenge earlier in the month with my May Counterfeit Kit and today I am sharing a couple of cards made with the a simple masking technique:

Jimjams - Card - Happy Happy Happy Birthday
Happy Birthday Mum
I was inspired by some cards I spotted over at the blog of my fellow Master Forger, Milissa, and just had to have a go with my circle punches and mini alphabet stamps.  The photo doesn't show it brilliantly, but two of the circles are raised up on foam dots and two are inked through the "waste" from the punched circles.

Jimjams - Card - Happy Happy Happy Anniversary
Happy Anniversary Hubby
The next stop on the hop is Dawn, but if get lost the full blog hop list is published on the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog where you can also find details of how to apply to be on the team of Master Forgers - the deadline is May 30th.

Love your cards! So cute. And I love the "inking through the negative" - I always make such a mess when I try that! You did a fantastic job and adding the little stitching details to those, perfect!

What a clever idea. I never thought of punching out misted items.

WOW. That's a statement on your cards, not an acronym. (wink!)

Dropping by with a strange apology. Your blog, how shall I put this? seems to have dropped out of my Reader. I realised today I hadn't seen anything for a few days so I came over: it even says "follow this site" again..and I've always been a follower...argh! Also wanted to ask if you have heard from Mary? She seems very quiet these days?

Sorry, I also really like your cards!

It does show in the photos, that you've used foam pads & masking - I like the variation of technique and pattern, it makes the cards so interesting to look at, even though they are "just circles".
Very smart and cheerful- this design would make good cards for men's birthdays or fathers day. I like them a lot!

I love punching misted bits - glad to have that reminder 'cause I've not done that in years. Have several b'day cards to make too and think I'm gonna lift this design. So elegant and simple!
