Goodbye 2015 - Hello 2016

It's already time for a new set of New Year's Resolutions ... have you made any?  Here's one I made at the start of 2014, which fell apart during 2015, so I'm making it again:

"I'm determined to be a more consistent blogger and scrap more"

As I also said back then, what better way to start than by putting together a new kit to join in with the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog.

Today the Master Forgers are all sharing their takes on this month's kits-to-copy which come from the Scarlet Lime's Planner Society Kits - we were allowed to pick any of the past kits from May 2015 onwards.  If you've been hopping along, you'll have just been to visit my compatriot Clair.  I chose the June Kit to copy as the warm colours and pretty shapes were a tonic after all the cold wind and rain we've had lately.

Scarlet Lime's Planner Society June Kit

Rather than a planner kit, I have been inspired to make a page (or two) kit reflecting the pinks (!) and yellows of the original:

Jimjams Jan 2016 Counterfeit Kit

Supplies:
2 sheets from a Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm pad
1 sheet from an Amy Tangerine Yes Please pad
2 sheets from a Christina Cole 8x8 slab
½ sheet Rainbow Life Happens by Christina Cole
Various journalling cards and mini-spots from my stash
American Crafts ⅝ Chevron knockout punch
KI Memories Softies Corners
Simple Stories Sn@p! Stickers and alphas
Jillibean Soup It Is What It Is Mini Placemats
WRMK yellow woodgrain washi
3 toning flair from my stash
Sizzix This Way Thinlits dies
WRMK Enamel Shapes
EK Success Binding Edge border punch

I'll add cardstock as and when I need it.

Now it's time to hop over to see what Julene has for you.  If you want to visit all the Master Forgers or you want to know more about kit counterfeiting pop over to the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog today.

Happy New Year !!!

Fab take on the original. Your New Year resolution is the same as mine...be a more consistent blogger. Once I've moved I hope to get back in the swing of joining in on here again.

I really like the colour tones your kit has and those Lucky Charm papers are so appealing. I had that collection and loved all of it - I might need to track it down again - the heart envelopes are a real winner.

I'm with you on the scrapping and blogging more! Let's see if we can keep each other motivated.

Here's to another wonderful year of counterfeiting together - can't wait to see what you create in the months to come!

Such great colors for getting through a dreary (at least for me) time of year! I actually have that same color-blocked "life happens" paper and thought about it for my kit - for some reason I just can't get rid of that paper. Happy New Year!

This is a nice take on the original. Loving the yellow and I like the compactness of your kit as well. Enjoy.

A tonic indeed! What a happy, lively kit, but PINK?!?!?
I was reeling with shock until I realized pink + yellow = ORANGE, lol!
It's got a great pop vibe going on - I really love it :-)

I chose my one little word for 2016 but I"m still working on my intentions and 2015 look-back. I do know that I want to continue to be as fit as I can and to return to more creative pursuits (and that may be enough for the intentions).

Such a wonderful, colourful kit to work with - and it even has some PINK in there ;) I hope working with page kits works well for you! Did you choose photographs before your kit? I'd be interested to know ...

I'm also hoping to blog (and to visit/comment on my favourite blogs) more consistently in 2016, so I shall join you in that resolution! x

I don't make New Year's Resolutions but I swore last year I'd be better at blogging. Didn't happen. I don't even know if I've blogged since our move to TN from VA yet. Maybe? ;) I'll have to go look. Scrapping took a nose dive after our move too because of time and where my new space is located. I was used to having a localized space in our living areas-in GA it was next to the kitchen and the living room. In VA, I had a dedicated space on the main floor. Here? It's a great space that I share with the homeschool room. But it's upstairs. At the end of the day when hubby is home from work, I don't always make it back upstairs because I want to be with him an the kids. So, I'm not getting as much done as I used to. :( Over Christmas break, I did spend more time up here. Now that I've made myself at home, maybe I can get back into a groove up here again. '

Anyway...this was supposed to be about your beautiful kit. Ha! I love the colors in the June kit too. One of the sheets remind me of some Basic Grey floral papers that I have and a some Lilybee papers that I have. Maybe I should try to counterfeit this one too? I love your kit!
