One Ride Two Fish Three Kids For Fun

Welcome to the final post of the May CKCB Members' Blog Hop; if you didn't reach me from Julene then you might want to start at the beginning with Lisa.

This month we had a choice of three challenges to use for the hop (#1 Use A Weather Icon, #2 Use A *Number* Of Embellishments and #3 Use A Bucket List).

I started off thinking that I'd do the first challenge as I had some cheerful photos to scrap and there was a perfect sunny icon on the Stickers in my May Counterfeit Kit!  However I'm still on a mission with the fibres I'd included and ended up adding a fair number of eyelets (I've learnt my lesson about sewing with them) so this fits the second challenge too!

I love that Crate Paper Boys Rule Pow paper - what a playful combination of blue & green.

It was a short Members' Hop this month - why not join in yourself in June - everyone is welcome!

love the pages but have to confess I still don't understand the counterfeit kit thing. Perhaps someone can point me to a simple explanation using words of one syllable

This is the Counterfeit Kit Blog:http://counterfeitkitchallenge.blogspot.co.uk/

It's all explained there!

Jemma, I love the colour in this page. Yellow and green are always a good choice anyway and you've made great use of them. I do love the photos - where is this ride - it looks like something from Dr. Seuss?
The sunburst made with eyelets and fibres is real fun.

How cool is this! Love how you have used eyelets and the fibre, it brings it all to that focal point with the stars and numbers.

Oh Jemma..you must have the patience of a saint! Love the sunburst threads..sure is one way to use up those long forgotten threads! Good job!

So, you just stretched the fibers across the image and into the eyelets? Wow? They look great. You've given them such an up to date look that one would never is they weren't the latest trend. As you know, I've still got loads so I might challenge myself to get some used up. Love the colours here. And BTW sorry you couldn't read the journalling on my layout. With the computer down, ice been struggling with photos etc and thus was the only way I worked out how to get them to a suitable size fir the blog post. But they are a little blurred, aren't they?

This is such a bright and fun layout, really conveys a sense of movement with the fibres and eyelets and it's great to see someone else using eyelets...I thought I was the only one.

That paper is gorgeous, I like the sunburst effect and if I ever get back to Florida I hope that ride is still there. Tis one of my favourite Dr Suess books!

Jemma, I knew from the get go that you would pick the numbers challenge. Ah but you surprised me by the slant you took it on.

Eyelets, was just thinking about them a day or so ago, how many I have and how seldom I use them. Should they stay or should they go? I don't know. Do you think, if we all band together and use them with new abandon, they will come back in vogue?
