April's Identikit

Welcome to the April Counterfeit Kit Blog Hop - if you arrived here from Julene via our guest designer Maggie, then you'll know that we're shaking things up this month by creating from a different perspective: using Case File #112 from the Colour Stories Inspiration Blog to form Counterfeit Kits Identikits!

April Counterfeit Kit Inspiration - CSI Case File #112

The Scheme: I started looking through my papers to see what might match the colours and found a two tone green chevron and some small green florals along with a pastel blue sheet and some scraps of cream, blue & white swirly paper.  Matching mini-alphas should help me with the clues!

Jimjams - Counterfeit Kit - April 2014

The Evidence: Sheer ribbons, a little yellow vellum and some transparent crystal stickers add to the picture along with some flocked puffy alphas and toning buttons.  Frames are provided by a selection of stamps and wooden and paper blooms support the case.

Jimjams - Counterfeit Kit detail - April 2014

There's still some Case File Testimony for use during the month ... which should help me solve the huge pile of photos that I still have to scrap!

Just one more thing before you follow the trail over to Angela ... it won't have escaped your notice that today is All Fools' Day and we decided to see if you could spot some foolish fakery as you collect the evidence from the Master Forgers.  So here are 3 "facts" about me, but one of them is pure fantasy ... can you guess which one?
  1. I had to have rabies injections (in my stomach) following a dog bite in Indonesia when I was 4 years old.  The surgeon was annoyed at being called in off the golf course to come and stitch my right hand back together!

  2. During the final year of my degree I computer-animated a short film featuring Heinz Baked Beans ... the programme was stored on punched cards  and the computer was housed in an air-conditioned room as big as our house.

  3. Hubby and I got to know each other during Ice Skating Lessons in Holland - when he tried to  show me how to do a Back Outside Mohawk - and failed!
Post your answer in the comments of this post before April 16th to be in with a random chance of winning a prize - to be announced on April 18th over on the CKCB.

Love your Identikit, Jemma, looking forward to solving more crimes with the team this month.
I'm guessing #2 is false?

I love looking at the kits we all make and spotting papers I have or had or have even used in my kit. I spy some MME papers that I think you had in a recent kit (or at least from the same collection) and that wonderfully bold HS paper that I will be interested to see what you do with - mine was a bit of a fail!
Great kit and all the embellies are perfect. All your facts sound reasonable but I'm going to guess number two as I think you too young for that! :-)

That's a lovely looking kit. I still haven't really checked out the CSI blog.

Forgot to say, I'm going with the 2nd one not being true ... Although!!! Lol

number 2 :D

Beautiful kit.

Now that's tricky. I think 3 might be true, because I've heard you talking about Holland before..but I'm not even going to try to guess between the other two. Punched cards? That would be going back a bit..

Love your kit and can't wait to see what u do with it, the colors are so pretty, really enjoying all the blue along the way of this hop:)
Okay, I really thought the details to you 3 responses were fun, but I have to go with #2 just cause I don't think your that old, you'd be the age of my husband or older yet.

Such a BEAUTIFUL KIT!!! Love love it!!

Great twist! I'll pick number #3 as false!

I do remember though very well using punch cards to program when I took the beginner computer course in Cobol Language. When they built the building to house the main frame it had to be lowered by crane into the building and the rest of the building built around it. Had such fun in college!!! LOL!!! And made my grades!

Such a great kit this month Jemma, love those buttons. They remind me of spring! :)

I think #2 is false since you have labelled yourself as "technologically challenged" ... no way could you create a computer animated film!

Love the kit. The blues and yellows just do it for me.

I am going to say #2 is a lie. As in, film and punched data cards don't relate. Maybe a younger person would fall for this one. ;)

Great kit - can't wait to see your creations! As for your fake fact, I'm guessing #2.

I am guessing that #3 is false... I helped my hubby punch cards for computer programs back in the day, btw! You have really covered all the elements in your kit, which I could dive right into.

A super little kit - hoping you bring it along on Saturday so I can see those stamps!
I think No.3 is your porky pie as I don't think you could make No.1 up and you're old enough for No.2 ;)

Soft and beautiful kit!

I hope #1 was false. That sounds dreadful. What a delightful kit you've created. Your assortment of buttons are fun.

As always, I'm stunned by how you make the kits your own with just a few little tweaks and twists! They always seem so very 'you' and that's kinda awesome!

I love your kit Jemma.. can't wait to see what you come up with this month!
I think No 2 is a little white lie.

Love your kit looks like a fun kit to play with. I am going to guess that number one is not true.

Beautifully soft and dreamy kit Jemma and for your fake fact I'm going to choose #3 - because the first one has so much convincing detail and I remember punch cards and computers as big as a house (although I'm not sure you're old enough???)
