Ten on the Tenth: Cards

I started out post-parenthood crafting as a card-maker but found it dispiriting to give away all my creations.  I would make two of each card: one to send away and one to keep for myself in reserve!  Then I discovered scrapbooking and practically stopped making cards.  Some of my card-making tools & supplies have been used in my layouts, but just recently I have been dabbling in card-making again ... with my scrapbooking tools & supplies!

Cards for all sorts of occasions ...

New Baby Card
Birthday Flowers
Civil Partnership Card (made with Tagxedo.com)
Thank You cards (from my guest post over at the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog):
Merry Christmas (see this post for Tagxedo help)
Get Well Soon
To say "Hello ... I love you!"
... and most recently, a card to celebrate my dear friend Hilary's 50th birthday:
Bunting - YAY!   ;o)
It is still tempting to make an extra card to keep ... but so far that little habit is helping me get organised with cards ready for next month's occasions!
Well that's my Ten on the Tenth for this month ... there will be lots more tens over at Shimelle's place (later) today!

I keep going back and forth on whether I still make cards. I love what you did - especially the civil union card (so happy here in California for the big court ruling yesterday).

Love them - can see why you would be tempted to keep them for yourself!

Oh these are lovely, Jemma! I especially like the top one and the one with the tsgs - such a good idea. I never make cards and then get cross when I need some so perhaps I'll get started now!

The mixture of printed shapes and paper works really well. I have enjoyed seeing these today.

Wonderful cards - I like them all, but I think the 21 is my favorite, simple, but that patterned paper makes it such a happy colorful card.

Lovely cards, each one a little work of art. I'd have a hard time giving any of them away!

Fabulous cards! I often feel like I should be keeping the cards I make, just like I keep my scrapbook pages, but then someone else wouldn't get the pleasure of my handmade card so somehow I eventually part with it. But I know how you feel! :) Love the 21 flowers and the card with the colorful tags!

Lovely cards, I like making cards - using up scraps, trying out colour combos or techniques. Really like the 21 and 50th, just made a 21st but don't think he'd have liked the flowers. Went with grunge/urban look instead - did think of digging out the ones of him at 21 months naked in the garden but decided I'm not that mean an auntie ;)

oooh amazing cards, I too was intrigued by the 21 one.
